The application and your data
DataPulse has no visitor database or user accounts. This does not mean that no personal data is processed: delivering the website requires technical communication with the server and, if you consent, Google Analytics processes identifiers and usage data.
Optional analytics: purpose and legal basis
BASEMENT AI uses Google Analytics 4 to measure audience usage and improve content. The legal basis is your consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and, for device storage or access, Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006. Google Analytics is not loaded before acceptance. Rejecting does not restrict access.
What Google receives
Cookie identifiers, page views and technical device/browser information. Connecting to Google exposes the IP address for data transport. These identifiers are not anonymous data. The application sends only the known page and language, excluding additional URL parameters and the referring URL. We do not implement User-ID or advertising personalisation.
Recipients and international transfers
Google provides the analytics service. Data may be processed outside the EEA, including in the United States. Cookie consent does not replace the requirements of GDPR Chapter V.
Device storage and retention
The analytics choice is stored only locally as greece-os-analytics-consent-v2 until you change it, clear site data or the policy version changes. The display preference is stored as greece-os-theme until cleared. These preferences are not sent to a database. After acceptance, _ga and _ga_<identifier> cookies distinguish visitors and sessions. The code sets a 180-day lifetime without automatic renewal. This differs from data retention at Google.
Hosting and security
The server processes technical data required to deliver the page. Any provider access or security logs are separate from optional analytics.
Withdrawal and your rights
You can open Cookie settings and choose Reject at any time. The page reloads to stop the loaded service. Accessible site analytics cookies are removed. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or automatically erase data already transmitted. Where applicable, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Send a request to BASEMENT AI at info@datapulse.gr or the postal address stated above. We normally respond within one month; any lawful extension is explained. We do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects for visitors.
You may lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
